Gaucho-carved meats and the Market Table are headed for a new pad site off East New Hope Drive — but not until late 2027

The Brazilian steakhouse chain Fogo de Chão has filed to build a new restaurant at 1005 E. New Hope Drive in Cedar Park, putting tableside churrasco within a few minutes of H-E-B Center and the growing CedarView development. It's an early filing — ground hasn't broken yet — but it's the kind of name that gets a neighborhood talking.
What's coming. The filing is for a 10,178-square-foot, single-story restaurant built from the ground up on an existing development pad, with an estimated cost of $4.5 million. Fogo's calling card is the full churrasco experience: continuous tableside service of meat selections such as picanha, filet mignon, ribeye, fraldinha and lamb, plus access to the Market Table and Feijoada Bar, which offers seasonal salads, vegetables, soups, and traditional Brazilian black bean stew served with rice. Brazilian side dishes, including pão de queijo, are also part of the experience. There's also a Market Table-only option for customers who prefer salads, vegetables and traditional sides without the full churrasco experience.
Where and when. The address is 1005 E New Hope Dr in Cedar Park, on a pad site near H-E-B Center and the CedarView development, not far from where Haywire is also planning a new location on the same stretch of road. Per the state construction filing, construction is scheduled to begin Feb. 1, 2027, with completion estimated for Aug. 31, 2027. Worth saying plainly: that construction timeline does not establish an opening date — a wrapped building isn't the same as a restaurant ready to seat guests, so expect more lag beyond August before anyone's carving meat tableside. Several outlets are already framing it as a late-2027 opening. This would be the chain's second in the Austin area, joining the downtown Fogo de Chão on Congress Avenue.
Who's behind it. This is a corporate expansion by Fogo de Chão itself, not a franchisee — the chain was founded in Porto Alegre, Brazil, in 1979 and has built its name nationally on churrasco, a Brazilian tradition of grilling meats over an open flame. Harrison is the design firm of record for the project, according to its TDLR filing.
What we don't know yet. No opening date, no hiring timeline, no word on hours or whether the Cedar Park menu will mirror the Austin location's offerings exactly. We also don't have a phone number or dedicated page for the Cedar Park spot yet — the chain's general site only reflects existing locations for now. We'll update this post the moment any of that changes.
Keep an eye on Fogo de Chão
