An English couple, a dog named Winston, and a from-scratch, all-day café where Neapolitan pizza meets nitro cold brew in Bee Cave
The story. Winston's is the second act of Aaron and Sally Creamer, who traded England for the Texas Hill Country and built an all-day café named after their dog. What began as their original Lakeway spot — drive-thru and all, plus the beloved outdoor "Barn" — grew into a small local family, and this past December it added its most ambitious location yet at the Hill Country Galleria in Bee Cave, complete with a dedicated pizza bar and a sprawl of outdoor seating. The through-line at every location is the Creamers' "less is more, quality first" approach: real ingredients, made from scratch, in a room that's genuinely built for families.
The vibe. It shifts with the clock. Mornings are a proper coffeehouse — laptops, strollers, and the smell of cinnamon rolls — and the Galleria patio makes for great people-watching once the shops open. Come evening it turns into a relaxed pizzeria where you can grab a wood-fired pie and a local craft beer or a glass of wine without booking ahead. Between the two, the calendar fills with wine tastings, live music, and storytime mornings, which is why it's become a default for Bee Cave families.
What to order. Dinner belongs to the wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas — 00 flour, San Marzano tomatoes, dough made fresh daily — with the margherita, the prosciutto & arugula, and a truffle-mozzarella-parmesan pie leading the board. Breakfast is its own reason to show up: homemade breakfast tacos, gourmet sourdough toasts with house spreads (go honey-strawberry or hazelnut-cacao), plus cinnamon rolls and coffee cake. Drink a nitro cold brew or a lavender lemonade, and finish with the gelato (vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry).
Good to know. The Bee Cave / Galleria location is open Sunday–Thursday 8:30 a.m.–7 p.m. and Friday–Saturday 8 a.m.–8 p.m. It's genuinely kid-friendly (the original location's "Barn" has room to run), there's ample outdoor seating, and beer and wine are on offer alongside the coffee. Parking is easy in the Galleria, and mornings are the calm window before the shopping rush.
