🆕 The Iron Grind (Dripping Springs / RR 12) — A smash burger and wing trailer parked at FairLane: Cocktails and Coffee out on Ranch Road 12. The lineup runs from the namesake Iron Grind double with Iron Sauce to a Chicago Beef Smash with giardiniera and a Southern Grind piled with pimento cheese and bacon — and everything comes with waffle fries. Wings come by the 6, 10, or 20 with sauces like garlic parmesan and mango habanero.

🆕 Oakwood Public Market (Dripping Springs / Headwaters) — The market that went dark this summer is open again, and in good hands. Local couple Sarah and Dallas Miller took over and reopened it in stages: a coffee shop that turns into a speakeasy called the Jackalope Room on Friday and Saturday nights, plus pizza, subs and Italian sandwiches, Tex-Mex and pasta, and neighborhood staples like milk and ice when you just need to grab something.

The Vibe — Tucked into the Commons off Highway 290, Turcotte is the closest thing to a Northeastern deli counter you'll find in the Hill Country, and that's entirely on purpose. Erik and Christin Turcotte moved down from the Boston area in 2018 and brought their deli roots with them — a real butcher case, house-made charcuterie, and sandwiches built the way they were built back home. It's a family operation, it's been feeding this town for five years now, and the staff are the kind of people who remember your order.

Must-Order Items — The cheesesteak is the one regulars send you in for, but The Rachel (the smoky, slaw-topped cousin of a Reuben) and The Californian both have their own loyal following. Go through the butcher case on your way out — the crafted meats and charcuterie are the whole point of a place like this, and they'll set you up for the week.
